April 2024 – 20% off Digital Colourisation

For this month only (April 2024) we are offering a 20% discount on digital colourisation.

We all understand the power a photograph can have to transport us back to moments filled with laughter, love, and nostalgia, and whilst black & white photos are fantastic, sometimes a vibrant colour photograph can make all the difference.

Global Manufacturing Business Image Restoration and Colourisation

We were approached by a global manufacturing company to restore and colourise over 40 historic images they have of their company which they want to display in an forthcoming exhibition.

We get increasing numbers of enquiries to create bespoke images for all sorts of end use.

Here are several examples of the photos that we restored and colourised for them to bring to life the company’s early history.

Photographs Forever on BBC ONE Morning Live 9.15am 11 November

Yes, Photographs Forever was on BBC One TV, Morning Live at 9:15am on Thursday 11th November.

We were featured as part of a Remembrance Day programme where I discuss the importance of photograph restoration and we follow the restoration and colourisation of a sentimental army photograph from 1914 belonging to my customer Nigel. I then present the restored photograph to him for the first time, live on camera.  Nigel also explains the story behind this historical photograph and just how much the restored photograph means to him and his family.

Here is the link if you’d like to watch our segment of the programme.

Here is a photograph I restored recently that had a burnt patch and lots of creases. I removed them and then went on to add colour.

A Successful Present for Mum! Restore and Colourise a Black And White Photograph

I received this email from Elissa B after she had agreed to go ahead with her photo restoration:
“You will be making my mom a very happy lady – the photo is in such terrible condition because she’s had it on display for the past 23 years, but I noticed a few months ago that she had taken it down because it had deteriorated so much and she was worried about it becoming completely unrecognisable. I managed to swipe it from her safe keeping place in the hopes that you’d be able to restore it. My brother and I are going to give it to her for her birthday in January and she will be made up. It’s her favourite photo in the world. I really appreciate how helpful you have been, you obviously have a great appreciation of how treasured people’s photographs are to them and their memories.”

Here are the before and afters of Elissa’s restored and colourised black and white photograph:

"My photos have arrived safely. They are spectacular, thank you so much for all of your hard work."

Here’s Elissa’s follow up email:
“My photos have arrived safely. They are spectacular, thank you so much for all of your hard work. My mom’s birthday is not until 13th January so I’ll have to wait until then to see her reaction to the colourised photograph of us although I am itching to show it to her right away! It will mean the world to her :-)”
